Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Open Source AI Ltd ("we", "us") for your use of Jobofinder. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Jobofinder does

Jobofinder monitors job sources that you choose, and prepares and submits job applications in your name using the information and documents you give us. Where a website requires a step that only you can do, such as a captcha or a question we cannot answer from your profile, we ask you to complete that step.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You may only create an account for yourself and may only apply for jobs on your own behalf.

3. Your authorisation to us

You authorise us to act for you in the following ways:

  • to visit the career pages and job listings you select and to read publicly available vacancy information;
  • to fill in and submit application forms in your name with the details, answers and CV in your profile;
  • where you have switched on CV tailoring, to produce a version of your CV and cover letter adapted to a vacancy, built only from the content of your own CV, and to submit that version;
  • to tick consent, privacy and declaration boxes on application forms, but only if you have switched that option on in your profile;
  • where you have saved a sign-in for an employer's site, or chosen to stay signed in there, to sign in to your account on that site and apply from it;
  • to answer cookie notices on those sites by refusing optional cookies.

You can withdraw this authorisation at any time by pausing or deleting your searches and watches, or by deleting your account.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Everything in your profile and CV must be true and up to date. You are responsible for every application submitted from your account, including tailored CVs, which you can review in your account.
  • Only point Jobofinder at websites where you are permitted to apply and whose terms allow applications to be submitted in this way.
  • Save a sign-in only for an account that is your own. Many websites set rules about automated use of an account; you are responsible for following the rules of every site where you ask Jobofinder to sign in, and for any consequence for your account there.
  • Keep your password private and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.
  • Do not use the service to send misleading, bulk or abusive applications, to interfere with any website, or for anything unlawful.

5. What we do not promise

We work to submit complete applications quickly, but we cannot guarantee that every vacancy will be detected, that every application will be accepted by the employer's system, or that you will be interviewed or hired. Employers' websites change without notice and may block or limit automated use. We are not a recruitment agency and are not connected with the employers you apply to.

6. Plans and payment

  • A paid plan is needed for searches, watches and applications to run. There is no free period: the service starts when your first payment has gone through. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page.
  • Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, starting on the day you subscribe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Billing page of your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Payments already made are not refunded for part-used periods, except where the law gives you a right to a refund.
  • If a payment fails we will tell you and may pause the service until it is resolved.
  • We may change prices for future periods and will tell you by email before a change applies to you.

7. Your content

Your profile, CV and answers remain yours. You give us permission to store and use them only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy.

8. Suspension and ending

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or is used unlawfully. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

9. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost earnings or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Jobofinder after that means you accept the updated terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Open Source AI Ltd is established, and its courts have jurisdiction, without removing any protection that the consumer law of your own country gives you.
